So I am finally done packing! I posted a list earlier but I thought I would include a final list of everything in my suitcase and personal item.
Large suitcase:
- Shoes
- Running shoes
- 2 pairs of day shoes-I brought a pair of nikes and adidas. The adidas were old so I can wear those when it rains and don't have to worry about them getting dirty and the nikes are new to wear to school every day.
- Tango shoes-These won't apply if you don't
- Sandals-These are somewhat fancy to wear with dresses/skirts to dressier occassions.
- Slippers-Someone said in a vlog that slippers are really nice to have if your family doesn't wear shoes in the house because its nice to not walk around barefoot all the time while you still feel like a guest in their house.
- Hiking shoes-I'm actually probably going to wear these to the airport since they are my biggest shoes but I'm hoping to do some hiking while I'm over there and hiking shoes are quite expensive so I don't want to worry about having to buy some over there.
- Jackets/coats
- Big winter coat
- "Cloud" coat-This is kind of an in-between coat. It's not very big or puffy but is designed to keep you really warm. I figured it would be useful and is also super light and compact so it doesn't take up much room.
- Rain coat
- 2 sweatshirts-Just some basic sweatshirts for comfort/warmth.
- Zip-up jacket-A light zip-up jacket for when its only slightly chilly but also can be sort of stylish.
- Fleece-This is great for layering and also what I will most likely use while hiking/running.
- Jean jacket-For style purposes
- Safari jacket-I put patches of everywhere I travel on this jacket so I figured I would bring it to wear hiking and also so I can sew on new patch from new places I travel to.
- Dresses/skirts
- 3 skirts-I'm bringing a jean skirt, a patterned, lacy skirt, and then a long maxi skirt.
- 4 casual dresses-One of the reason I'm bringing so many dresses and skirts is because I'm not bringing many shorts (just because I don't have many) but if I was bringing shorts I probably wouldn't bring this many.
- Semi-fancy dress-Just for fancier events like brunches, dinners, or orientation.
- LBD-For tango dancing and dances and such.
- Shirts
- 4 camisoles-one black, one white, and two colored
- Crop top-Just one because I'm not sure how common they'll be in Schwabisch Hall.
- 3 t-shirts-They're both Baltimore themed so I can represent!
- 2 nice button-up shirts-These are just for fancier days and also because I know that German fashion is very sophisticated.
