It is nowhere near time for me to start packing, but I'm already getting excited! This is just a primitive list of the things I think I will need, and I will update it once I'm all packed up.
The packing requirements for AFS are pretty small. We are only allowed to have 1 item of checked luggage (44 lbs) and 1 carry on. I am planning on taking my violin with me, so I'm not exactly sure how I will deal with that, but for now I'm just going to focus on the other things I am bringing.
The AFS website says to pack 7-10 days worth of clothes. I have no sense of style whatsoever, and i have to wear a uniform everyday, so I am pretty worried about looking stylish in Germany. When I went to Heidelberg I wasn't really expecting it to be a very fashionable place, but everyone there looked so put together and well dressed. I am planning on doing some summer shopping, but I'm also planning on not taking too much and doing most of my shopping there,
